From learning the trade to leading the team: Maddie's Next Chapter

At Lynn Welding, career development means more than learning a trade. It means creating opportunities for employees to build their skills, take on new challenges, and grow into leadership roles within the company.

Today, we’re proud to celebrate Madelyn Lee as she steps into her new role as Cell Leader for the Foil Insulation Cell, supporting the Sikorsky UES duct program for the Black Hawk.

Growing With the Program

Maddie’s journey with this program began in November 2020, when she became part of the team producing these critical components. Over the years, she has developed a strong understanding of the work, the processes, and the expectations that come with supporting a demanding aerospace program.

That experience has given Maddie more than technical knowledge. Working alongside her teammates has helped her understand the importance of communication, consistency, teamwork, and taking pride in the work being produced.

Now, she has the opportunity to bring that experience into a leadership position.

Preparing for the Next Step

Leadership development doesn’t happen overnight. For Maddie, preparing for this role has been a combination of hands-on experience, mentorship, and intentionally developing the skills needed to lead a team.

By working closely with experienced members of the Lynn Welding leadership team and seeking opportunities to strengthen her leadership abilities, Maddie has continued building the foundation for this next chapter in her career.

Her promotion is a reflection of that continued effort and growth.

Leading the Team She Grew Alongside

One of the most meaningful parts of Maddie’s new role is that she will be helping lead the same team she has worked alongside for years.

As Cell Leader, Maddie will support her coworkers, help keep production moving efficiently, meet customer requirements, and contribute to the continued success of the Foil Insulation Cell.

But her role goes beyond the day-to-day responsibilities of the cell. As she grows as a leader, Maddie will also have an opportunity to help develop those around her — sharing knowledge, encouraging growth, and helping prepare the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

That is what career development looks like at Lynn Welding: creating pathways for people to grow within the company while building the skills and leadership needed for the future.

Building the Future From Within

Maddie’s promotion is a great example of what can happen when technical experience, mentorship, and opportunity come together.

From joining the Foil Insulation Cell in 2020 to stepping into a leadership position today, Maddie has continued to grow alongside the program and the people around her.

We’re proud to recognize her hard work and dedication and excited to see the impact she will make in her new role.

Congratulations, Maddie, on this well-earned next step in your Lynn Welding career!
